BATPL Terms & Conditions

Bulford, Amesbury & Tidworth Pool League (BATPL)

By registering with, participating in, or using the services of BATPL, players, team captains and teams agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. League Participation

BATPL is a local pool league organised to provide friendly and competitive pool between participating pubs, clubs, teams and players.

All participants are expected to behave respectfully and in the spirit of the game.

Participation in BATPL is subject to the current BATPL League Rules & Regulations and the playing rules adopted by the league.

2. Registration

Players must be registered with a participating BATPL team before representing that team in league competition.

Players are responsible for ensuring that information supplied to BATPL is accurate and up to date.

Team captains are responsible for submitting and maintaining their team's registration information.

3. League Fees

Any applicable team, competition or registration fees must be paid by the deadlines set by BATPL.

Fees may be used towards the administration and operation of the league, trophies, prizes, competitions, website costs and other legitimate league expenses.

4. Fixtures & Results

Teams are responsible for fulfilling their scheduled fixtures in accordance with BATPL League Rules.

Captains are responsible for ensuring match results are correctly recorded and submitted within the required timeframe.

Published results, league tables and player statistics will be based on the information submitted to BATPL.

Any suspected error should be reported to BATPL as soon as reasonably possible.

5. Player Statistics

BATPL may record and publish player information relating to league participation, including:

  • Player name
  • Team
  • Match appearances
  • Frames played
  • Frames won and lost
  • Win percentage
  • Break & Runs and other recognised achievements
  • Competition results and league positions

These records may appear on the BATPL website, social media and other league communications.

6. Conduct

Players, captains and teams are expected to behave appropriately towards opponents, officials, venues and other participants.

Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, disruptive or seriously unsporting behaviour may be referred to the League Committee and could result in disciplinary action.

7. Rules & Disputes

Matches are governed by the playing rules and BATPL League Rules & Regulations in force at the time.

Any dispute should initially be handled calmly between the team captains where appropriate.

Formal disputes must be submitted in accordance with BATPL procedures.

The League Committee will consider disputes fairly and impartially. Decisions made under the League Rules are final.

8. Website & Social Media

BATPL may use its website, Facebook page, WhatsApp groups and other communication channels to provide fixtures, results, announcements, statistics and other league information.

Participants are responsible for the content they submit to BATPL communication channels.

BATPL reserves the right to remove inappropriate, offensive, misleading or unrelated content from league-managed platforms.

9. Photographs & Promotional Content

Photographs and videos may be taken during BATPL matches, competitions, presentations and other events for league and promotional purposes.

Anyone who does not wish to appear in promotional photographs or videos should inform BATPL.

10. Privacy

Personal information will be handled in accordance with the BATPL Privacy Policy/Privacy Statement.

Contact information supplied for league administration will not normally be published publicly without permission.

11. Venues

Participating pubs and clubs remain responsible for their own premises, facilities, licensing requirements, opening arrangements and house rules.

Players and visitors must comply with the reasonable rules and requirements of the host venue.

12. Liability

Participation in BATPL matches, competitions and events is undertaken at the participant's own risk.

BATPL is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings or for matters outside the reasonable control of the league.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or restrict liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

13. Changes to the League

BATPL may make reasonable changes to fixtures, competition formats, administrative procedures and these Terms & Conditions where necessary for the effective running of the league.

Significant changes affecting teams will be communicated to captains where reasonably practical.

Changes to playing or league rules will be dealt with in accordance with the league's normal decision-making procedures.

14. Acceptance

By registering a team or player and participating in BATPL activities, participants acknowledge that they are expected to comply with these Terms & Conditions and the current BATPL League Rules & Regulations.
